The QBS-Box Hill is committed to providing you with the highest levels of subscriber & client services. This includes protecting your privacy. As of 21 December 2001, we are bound by new sections of the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988, which set out a number of principles concerning the protection of your personal information. Following is the information that the Privacy Act requires us to communicate to all of our subscribers and clients. We recommend that you keep this information for future reference.
The QBS-Box Hill is a wholly owned subsidiary of NTSecurity Pty Ltd and is responsible for collecting subscriber and client details through its Internet site www.QBS-Box Hill.com.au Your personal information Personal information held by QBS-Box Hill may include your name, current and previous addresses, telephone/mobile phone number, e-mail address and your QBS-Box Hill Username and/or Password for accessing the online QBS-Box Hill™. We also hold details of QBS-Box Hill Member’s clients, including their status. If you choose not to provide personal information, we may not be able to provide you with the services you require, or the level of service you might otherwise expect.
The QBS-Box Hill collects personal information in a number of ways, including:
• directly from you, when you provide information by phone or in documents such as an application form;
• from third parties such as our related companies, credit reporting agencies or our Members;
• from publicly available sources of information;
• from the organisations identified below under “When we disclose your personal information”;
• from our own records of how you use our services; or
• when legally required to do so.
How we use your personal information
Your personal information may be used in order to:
• provide the services you require, through listing your small scale offering on www.QBS-Box Hill.com.au or through other publications owned by the QBS-Box Hill or any of our QBS-Box Hill Members;
• administer and manage those services, including charging, billing and collecting debts;
• inform you of ways the services provided to you could be improved;
• conduct appropriate checks for credit-worthiness and for fraud;
• research and develop our services;
• maintain and develop our Member and client business support systems and infrastructure, including testing and upgrading of these systems and/or processes;

When we disclose your personal information
For the purposes set out above we may disclose your personal information to organisations outside
QBS-Box Hill. The organisations to which we disclose information include:
• your professional advisers (eg your accountants or legal advisers);
• professional and private investors
• credit-reporting and fraud-checking agencies;
• credit providers for credit related purposes such as creditworthiness, credit rating, credit provision and financing;
• our professional advisers, including our accountants, auditors and lawyers;
• government and regulatory authorities and other organisations, as required or authorised by law;
Help us to ensure we hold accurate information. QBS-Box Hill takes all reasonable precautions to ensure that the personal or business information we collect, use and disclose is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However, the accuracy of that information we hold depends to a large extent on the information you provide.

• keep us up to date with changes to personal or business information such as any changes to
names or address.
You have a right to access your personal or business information, subject to some exceptions allowed by law. If you would like to do so, please let us know. You may be required to put your request in writing for security reasons. QBS-Box Hill reserves the right to charge a fee for searching for, and providing access to, your information.
